Madison Classics
We did the, "Madison Classics" Car Show this last week-end in Jefferson, Wi. We seem to be spending a lot of time at this fairgrounds lately. Anyway, the show is just twice a year and huge - 3,100 vendors. We really did well and I don't say that about many of the shows lately. It's three days so we stayed two nights in a hotel. That cuts a bit into the profit but we watched, "Storage Wars" both nights for entertainment. Pretty good show but we both get tired of the back-biting among the principal people. I wonder how much of the dialogue is actually scripted. I also wonder if the storage units are, "salted" - items added before the show airs so that the buyers find that one great item. There seemed to be a lot of that. It's entertaining though. Back to the car show. We're in a building but both ends have roll up overhead doors so the wind blows right through. It was cold! Saturday it rained which added to the misery. People still came out and bought though. As I said, we did well but I'm glad it's over. The picture above is of a 1955 Chevy Bel-Air Limousine. Really neat!
