Diabetes/Grayslake
Whew! I haven't been able to get onto this blog for days. I don't know what I am doing wrong but my computer just wouldn't go there. Earlier I was complaining about the Grayslake Flea Market sales. Well they turned around. Half an hour before closing on Sunday I am coming back to the booth and a woman passes me carrying a comb display that we had for sale. A few feet behind her was a young girl carrying a plaque I had painted. Back at the booth another woman bought some antique chocolate molds. We ended the show making more than usual! Hallalujah! Concerning the diabetes, I do have it. I've been given pills to take twice a day and a gizmo to check my blood sugar. My son is a Type 1 diabetic so this isn't completely new to me. I have to watch what I eat and that's the hardest part. The good news though is that I have only been doing these things for four days and I've lowered my blood sugar from just under 300 to about 150. It goes up and down a few points but it's gradually lowering. I go back to the doctor is six weeks. My picture is of an abacus. Some people can add on these as fast as on some calculators.
